About Farin Ruwa Falls Farin Ruwa waterfalls is one of the waterfalls in Nigeria, it is located in Nasarawa state. The water falls at a height of about 150 metres when descending from the Jos Plateau and this is higher than the well-known Victoria Falls (180 metres during its descent). History of Farin Ruwa Waterfalls In 1950, the Farin Ruwa waterfalls was found out by the British colonial rulers of Nigeria. The fall was published by the colonial rulers to preserve its heritage from those who exploited it commercially. Despite this, Farin Ruwa was kept in the shadows till the finding of Nasarawa State in 1996. Farin ruwa means white water in Hausa language.
