Legacy Railway Museum

Legacy Railway Museum was established in 1904, Built by A non government group, Legacy1995 in collaboration with Nigerian Railway Corporation in 1904.
There is a saying that the pride of a nation lies in the ability to preserve its heritage by transmitting story of the past to the succeeding generations. There is no better demonstration of this than the rehabilitating works done on the Jaekel House.

The building itself is over 100 years old, and although renovated, it has retained its colonial structure. It has an impressive collection of maps of Nigeria showing train routes and displayed in the premises are artifacts of the railway instruments, railway parts and models of different types. The museum also displays photos that simultaneously tell the story of the Nigerian Railway since inception.
