Owo museum of antiquities was built in 1968 to accommodate the antiquities which were formerly in the Olowo Palace. It is notable as the site of significant archaeological and ethnographic material discovered in the Owo area. It was built by the Department of Antiquities of the Nigerian government.
Located In the palace of the Olowo monarch, the Owo museum is the link between the past and the present with the aim of passing on history to future generations.
This is a very safe location. There are however rules that you must follow as described by the museum guards. One important rule is:
