Gidan Makama Museum was established in 1953, Built by Lord Lugard in 1953.
The Gidan Makama Museum also known as Kano museum is a time capsule with displays of traditional materials, city walls, maps of Kano, the history of statehood, It exhibits Kano in the 19th century, its Civil War, economy, traditions,industry and music.
