Lagos University Teaching Hospital was established in 1962, Built by Federal Government of Nigeria in 1962.
ABOUT
Lagos University Teaching Hospital, simply known as LUTH, is a government-owned public hospital in Lagos State Nigeria. It was established in 1961 by the government to improve the standard of the Lagos state health sector. Training medical staff and students were the main reasons the government tendered for the establishment of the hospital. Since its establishment, Lagos State government have witnessed a great turn around in the quality of medical services rendered in the state. LUTH started with a 330-bed capacity but has seen grown to accommodate 761 beds and this has testified to the remarkable growth of the hospital. Reports have shown that LUTH has the highes amount of specialist doctors
in Nigeria and this puts patients and their families as ease as they
