Reason For Loving Place
Initially commissioned as a 300 bedded hospital in 1973, UBTH has expanded tremendously over the years such that she now has facilities for over 900 in-patients. It features state-of-art equipment and facilities including a functioning renal dialysis centre, CT scanning centre, endoscopy for special investigation, oxygen plant, gigantic Dental, Ophthalmic and Oncology complexes, an integrated consultant clinic, institutionalized private practice building, and a transit home for patients relations and friends.

One of the old generation teaching hospitals in Nigeria, UBTH has indeed served as the last port of call for expert management of the most diseased conditions in the Mid-West area.
