The Nigerian Institute of Building is a government managed Professional body of builders and those who are engaged in the art and profession of constructing bulidings.NIOB became autonomous on November 5,1970 and acquired its name then.Is headquarters is located at 7, Misau Crescent, Off Kumo Street, Off Ahmadu Bello Way, Garki II, Abuja, FCT.

History of Nigerian Institute of Building

NIOB became autonomous on November 5,1970 and acquired its name then.Following the statutory backing of Building as a profession in Nigeria by Builder’s (Registration etc) Decree 45 of 1989,the institute was officially inaugurated on 24th April 1990.
