About The National Water Resources Institute

The National water Resources Institute located at Mando road, SabonGida Kaduna. The institute plays a role in promoting developing training courses in water resources. The institute performs researches on water development issues and advises the minister on water resources management issues.

History of The National Water Resources Institute

The National Water Resources Institute started in 1963 when the Hydrological Technical Committee generated a national awareness. A central institute was then established to manage water resources problem. Problems include salinity effects, flooding. The committee held its first meeting on 17th October, 1977.
