The National Teachers Institute was established in 1976 and is the agency tasked with providing courses for professional upgrade and development of Nigerian teachers using the Distance Learning System (DLS) of education delivery. The Institute seeks to enhance professional skills of serving teachers for a higher quality of education delivery.
