Nigerian Export Promotion Council Description
The Nigerian Export Promotion Council concerns itself with the promotion and diversification of Nigeria’s export trade, assists in promoting the development of export related industries in Nigeria, actively advances implementation of governmental export policies and programmes, collects and disseminates information on products available for export and co-ordinate and monitor export promotion activities in Nigeria. One of their more international functions is to organize and plan the participation of Nigeria in trade fairs and exhibitions.

History of The Nigerian Export Promotion CouncilThe Nigerian Export Promotion Council was established through the promulgation of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council Decree No. 26 of 1976. It was updated by the Export decrees pof 1986 and 1992 which sought to enhance the performance of the council by increasing its autonomy and reducing bureaucratic obstructions.
