About Raw Materials Research and Development Council

Raw Materials Research and Development Council is a government research institute responsible for the promotion,development and utilization of Nigeria's industrial raw materials.It was established to help effective utilization of the nation's raw materials thus aiding in the establishment of resource-based industries which contribute to the nation's GDP.It is under the supervision of the Federal ministry of science and technology.Its headquarters is at 17 Aguiyi Ironsi St, Wuse, Abuja FCT.

History of The Raw Materials Research and Development Council

RMRDC was established by the RMRDC Act, oroginally promnigated into law by Decree 39 of 1987 and presently cited as RMRDC Act, CAP R.3 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.However began its operations in Lagos the then Capital city on February 10th 1988.
