About The Corporate Affairs Commission

The Corporate Affairs Commission is an autonomous body responsibility to regulate the formation and management of companies in Nigeria. Its duties include, Incorporation of Companies, Registration of Business Name, Registration of Incorporated Trustees, Issuance of Certified True Copies of filed documents, Registration of share capital increases, mortgages etc, Management and winding-up of companies and many more statuory fuctions.

History of The Corporate Affairs Commission

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria was established in 1990 via the Companies and Allied Matters Decree no 1. Now ammended on Act cap C20 Laws of federation of Nigeria. The Commission has effected numerous changes in its mode of doing business, making the procedure more flexible, easier to do and more consumer engaging in line with the digitization of government parastatals.
