ABOUT Pandam Wildlife Park in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State is one of the largest game reserves in Nigeria. It was designated in 1972 by the then Military Governor of Benue-Plateau, Joseph Gomwalk, of blessed memory. The Park covers a land mass of about 224sq Km of untouched savanna wetlands and forest and is home to many species of wild animals, including antelopes, shy duikers, warthogs and monkeys living in the natural environment. Apart from these, hippopotamus and the rare African manatee are found inside the freshwater of Pandam Lake. It is indeed an interesting sight for tourists who would like to see the brilliantly colored parrots and other rare bird species in the park. The park has over the years provided a place for visitors to learn about the beauty of nature and enjoy the natural environment. Parks such as the one in Pandam exist to ensure that pleasure seekers, now and in the future, are able to experience for themselves their country’s rich natural heritage. About Edumanom Forest Reserve Edumanom Forest Reserve is home to some of the last chimpanzees in Nigeria. It covers part of the old Nembe Kingdom, now divided into the Nembe and Brass local government areas, in Bayelsa State. Edumanom Forest Reserve can be visited by tourists and historians. Edumanom Forest Reserve is a freshwater swamp forest with an area of 9,324 hectares. It is known to be home to the endemic Sclater’s guenon, olive colobus and Niger Delta red colobus. Visitors can gain access to the forest through the creeks and along oil pipelines.The forest is known for its wildlife and exotic plants.  About Lame Burra Game Reserve Lame Burra Game Reserve (205,900 ha)  in Bauchi State lies to the south-east of Falgore Game Reserve. Here the vegetation is a typical Northern Guinea Savanna in the north, there are areas of transition to Sudan Savanna. The 50 km wide strip of thinly inhabited, unprotected savanna woodland separates the reserves. SERVICES There are no services rendered here as the forest is not properly managed. About Kuyambana Game Reserve Kuyambana Game Reserve is a vast forest area located in Zamfara State, Nigeria. Kuyambana Game Reserve was set aside by the government for the preservation of plants and animals, especially the endangered species. This area stretches from the Dajin Rugu to the Kontagora forest. About IITA Forest Reserve IITA’s forest was originally part of much larger forests in southwestern Nigeria but now, surrounded by the city of Ibadan. It is the best protected and only urban forest in the region. This makes it a centre of biodiversity and a refuge for once common species. Over 450 different plants, 272 birds, 236 butterflies, 48 mammals and 28 reptiles and amphibians have been recorded and many more await discovery.
