Lekki conservation center was established in 1990 to protect the wildlife and mangrove forests of Nigeria's South-West coastline from the threat of urban development. It is notable as a home to some endangered species like Mona monkey, duikers etc.

The year was 1990, wildlife and Mangrove forest of the southwestern coastline were in decline due to Urban development. In response to this threat, Lekki conservation center was birthed. Home to different endangered species of plants and wildlife, it has become a top destination for picnics, bird watching and relaxation.
