Following a television station expose of the decay of its facilities, the then president of Nigeria made an impromptu inspection of the college and found all reports to be true. Promising a massive rehabilitation, the Nigerian Army engineers completed the rehabilitation of the college in May 2013, after carrying out works on 29 different buildings, including the hostels, for about three months. Facilities rehabilitated include 17 hostels for males and females, six toilets, three dining halls, kitchen and septic tanks for all the halls.
