St Gregory's College was established in 1928.
Built by Catholic Missionaries in 1928.
Named after Pope St. Gregory the Great, this is a Nigerian Catholic missionary school for boys sought after by discerning minds who seek to partake of its quality of education planked on the philosophy of educating "the whole of the human person".

It is one of the top schools in Lagos. Located along College road, the field is visible through the barred fence. Their uniform is White on White with the short sleeve signifying Junior Secondary School students and the long sleeve shirts signifying Senior Secondary School students. It has a long and strong tradition coupled with its enviable achievements and impressive alumni.
It is a known school that has a competitive rivalry with Lagos Island's King's College. Their students are notable in the social and academic scene for their brilliance and their uniqueness. Although neglected for a while, new management have come in and resuscitate the school back to its former glory. Notable among its alumni include Adetokunbo Ademola, Ben Murray-Bruce, Raymond Njoku, Funsho Williams, Olufemi Majekodunmi, and many others.
