Lagos Motorboat Club (Members Only)

ABOUT
Lagos Motorboat Club is an esteemed and reputable private boat club in Lagos, Nigeria. It was created in 1950 by some ex-members of the Lagos Tarpon Club. For years after its creation, the club lacked its arena and used Wilmott Point for its activities. Things took a glorious turn for the club when it was moved to its private arena on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi Lagos.
After undergoing several renovation/upgrade, the proudly possesses certain world-class features such as mermaid water bar, round bar (Gillmore’s Folly), restaurant and 200 standard motorboats. The tranquillity of the Clubhouse is quite impressive because of its architectural design and the Indian almond trees that sway in its premises.
Sundays are busy days at the club as members mount motorboats to private beach huts next to creeks beyond the clubhouse. The sight of boats mounting and returning from the creeks at sunset is gratifying.
