ABOUT
A Community Health Practitioner is a specially trained Professional who provides promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative health activities and services to the people where they live and work. In carrying out these tasks, there are a set of codes of professional conducts, ethics and etiquette that they are mandatory to follow. Community Health Practitioners Registration Board Of Nigeria is a statutory board under the Federal Ministry of Health established by the need for a regulatory board for community health practice. It was established by Decree Number 61 of 1992, now CAP C 19, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and till date is responsible for determining and stating what standards of knowledge and skills individuals seeking to become members of the profession of Community Health must have and attain and improving those standards from time to time as the ages change. At the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, CHW can register to become a member, check the registered institutions, get or check a license or report a misconduct of a practitioner.
