This historic building is currently the tallest in the country and West Africa as a whole. It formerly housed Nigeria Telecommunication and is historically significant as the first skyscraper in Lagos.

The communications spire at the top of the tower serves a dual purpose as a lighthouse beacon for Lagos Harbor as a guide to ships off the coast.
