Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport was established in 2014.
Built by Federal Government of Nigeria in 2014.
Named after Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, a former Prime Minister of Nigeria, the airport was constructed in a record 18 months.
This is a very safe location.
Before heading to Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, here are some helpful things to take along with you:
The airport, with its modern aviation facility, was built at a cost of 13billion Naira. Commissioned by the then President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, the airport serves people in Bauchi and North-Eastern region for national and international flights, which include those on pilgrimage.
So far, the airport has been well managed and tourists from around the world now have an easy access to the Pearl of Tourism state. As tourism kicks up in Bauchi, the airport will see more users and hopefully its current standard will still be maintained.
