Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport was established in 2014, Built by Federal Government of Nigeria in 2014.
Named after Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, a former Prime Minister of Nigeria, the airport was constructed in a record 18 months.

Reason For Loving Place

The airport, with its modern aviation facility, was built at a cost of 13billion Naira. Commissioned by the then President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, the airport serves people in Bauchi and North-Eastern region for national and international flights, which include those on pilgrimage.
