What To Bring
Before heading to Gombe Lawanti International Airport, here are some helpful things to take along with you:
Your flight documents; passport, flight ticket, booking confirmation (in case of a problem)
Certified for flights in 2008, this airport serves Gombe and the Northern Nigeria axis. Recently upgraded to International status, it flies cross-continent, making stops at countries such as Saudi Arabia for muslim pilgrims.
It has been listed as one of the best performing airports in Nigeria, and it certainly deserves such high praise. Although not as grand-looking as more popular airports, it is well maintained, and there is less hassle and struggle as one has come to expect from Nigerian airports. It survived the recent terrorism wave, and is now a major link bringing in people from other parts of Nigeria and beyond.
