Getting a work visa in France involves going through certain processes. The work visa is issued as the National Visa which is also referred to as the Long-stay visa for Schengen states.

First, you must have been given employment in a certified organization in France. The employing company must also submit a letter defending why you were hired instead of eligible locals of France. For those that haven?t been offered employment but have intentions of working in France, you can search for jobs via the official websites given by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Having a high level of proficiency in speaking the France official language (French) is also very necessary to be considered for employment and application of this visa. Those who do not know anything about French have little or no guarantee of getting a job in France.

Applicants of this visa are also required to apply for a residence permit that allows them stay longer than 90 days in France. For temporary workers, their employers are expected to apply for a temporary work permit and have it approved by the French Ministry of Labour. For full-time workers, the long-stay visa acts as their residence permit. The company of employment is to submit your work contract to the French Ministry of Labour which in turn approves your contract and sends it to the Office Francais de l?Immigration et de l?Integration (OFII) alongside the residence and work permit.
