Bayelsa Election Results: INEC Suspends Poll Indefinitely

Professor Zana Akpagu, the Chief Returning Officer of the Bayelsa State Gubernatorial Election has put the collation of the results of the governorship election for Southern Ijaw local government area on hold – indefinitely.

According to him, the results from the local government are still on hold.

This, it has been determined is because he does not know when the Returning Officer from the LGA will come in with the result.

According to Professor Zana, PDP’s candidate has won six of the seven LGAs released so far. Timipre Sylva (of the APC), his opponent has won only one.

Results of the following locations have been released: Brass, Ekeremor, Kolokuma/Opokuma, Nembe, Ogbia, Sagbama and Yenagoa local government areas.
