Some interesting tours Nigerian tourists in Malaysia can go for:

  • Garden City of Kuala Lumpur
  • Evening I-City Tour
  • Half-Day National Zoo
  • Kuala Lumpur by Night
  1. Garden City of Kuala Lumpur
An amazing view of Kuala Lumpur city

There is a reason poetic Malaysians call Kuala Lumpur "garden lights." The metaphor is quite understandable -- night comes with color in Kuala Lumpur.

As soon as night falls, the streets of the capital become lit with colored lights from showcase clubs, discos, karaoke halls, restaurants, bars, and cinemas.

During a tour in Kuala Lumpur, you can explore the city?s unique blend of traditional and ultramodern features. The city looks like it?s set for the future, yet the streets are filled with throwbacks to its distant past.

This bustling metropolis, covering an area of nearly 245-square kilometers is one of Asia's fastest-growing economic and financial hubs. However, it still maintains its historical feel with lots of insight into the country's rich past and heritage.

2. Evening I-City Tour

I-City, Kuala Lumpur

I-City Shah Alam is a stunning theme park located in the city of Shah Alan, about a 1-hour drive from downtown Kuala Lumpur. Known as the City of digital lights, the 75-acre complex is famous for its colorful nightly display of LED lights.

It is splendour whenever the lights come on, decorating the various attractions around. You can look forward to several interesting attractions at I-City: a theme park featuring a colorful ferris wheel, carousels and funfair booths where you can compete in different activities and win prizes.

There is also a massive water park with an artificial beach and wave system as well as a Hollywood-themed wax museum. Other features of note include a snow walk with stunning ice sculptures, a horror house, a 5D theater display and so much more. The I-City complex operates a cashless system where guests are required to purchase an electronic prepaid card known as an I-Card for use within the complex.

Open times for the city are from 11:00 am to 12 midnight on weekdays and 11:00 am to 1:00 am on weekends (Friday to Sunday).

3. Half-Day National Zoo

Zoo Negara, Kuala Lumpur

The Kaula Lumpur National Zoo and Aquarium (Zoo Negara) is a 110-acre complex laid across a central lake. The entire facility boasts of up to 5137 individual animals representing over 476 different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish from all over Asia and Africa.

Located some 13km northeast of Kuala Lumpur city center, this massive complex houses a forest, a lake and up to 16 different animal exhibits. The entire complex is so large that one would need up to 3 hours to tour it from end to end. Tram rides are provided to make commuting through the grounds easier. These are available at about 8RM ($2.50) for adults and 6RM ($2.00) for children.

The zoo offers a multi-zone aquarium mimicking the different aquatic habitats found within Malaysia, including a peat swamp, a mangrove zone, and a marine zone.

There is a kid-friendly petting exhibit where kids can get up and close with animals such as ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, parrots, etc.

The zoo also offers Nigerian visitors the opportunity to see such rare animals like the giant panda. There are also animal exhibits held between 11:00 am and 15:00 pm each day. Entry is about 85RM ($21) for adults and 43RM ($11) for children.

4. Kuala Lumpur by Night

Kuala Lumpur at night

The city center of Kuala Lumpur offers travellers (including those from Nigeria) its fair share of sights and experience. Kuala Lumpur as a city that never sleeps boasts an impressive nightlife with many activities remaining available long into the night. Be it shopping, dining or just experiencing the sights and sounds of the city, there is plenty to do.

You can visit the KLCC complex and the massive Petronas Twin Towers for some memorable photo opportunities. You can also visit the KLCC Aquaria and be treated to the beautiful underwear show of various aquatic animals.

You can also shop at one of Kuala Lumpur's massive mall complexes like the Pavilion Mall or the KLCC Suria Mall. There are also many opportunities for one to indulge in fine dining from restaurants either serving local or international cuisine.

Take a trip to the top of the KL Tower at night for a truly magnificent view from the city?s highest observation point.

For those who enjoy partying at night, a classy recommendation is the SkyBar, located on the top floor of the Traders Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Enjoy cocktails and drinks with music and dancing from an award-winning DJ while the KL and Twin Towers provide a stunning backdrop.
