<Funny Story Competition> My Hotel Room Experience in Abuja

This funny travel story was submitted as part of the Funny Travel Stories competition on Hotels.ng. It talks about the dangers of randomly booking hotels without first reading  hotel room reviews. Read below and enjoy!

My experience actually happened years back before Hotel.ng came to solve problems of getting hotel accommodation and improper lodging. When I travelled to a particular Hotel in Abuja it was really unbelievable I lodge into a room few hours before my meeting drop my luggage and left hotel for the meeting, I mistakenly left with my hotel key room. After 5 hours of my day towards late night I got back and Hotel Receptionist have been changed. I just walk straight to my room, since I had my key, i open the door, undressed and straight to the bathroom. Behold in the bathroom a pretty naked lady in the bath. We both screamed!! I actually thought it was a ghost. I quickly grab a towel around my waist and left the bathroom.

She came out of the bathroom so scared and I told her this is my room I paid few hours ago and how come she had a key to the room. She said she was given the room a hour ago. We both dressed up and went down stairs to meet the manager. They apologized and the lady was given a new room and after that we met the following morning at gym and said hello each other. Since then we never met till I left the Hotel.

The question is will I ever go to a hotel like that ever again? Hmm, don’t think so. That’s one of my experience traveling. I know next time to read hotel room reviews.
