This is a follow up to the post on the various team-bonding exercises or events you can take advantage of in Lagos as part of the fun things you could organize to occasionally boost the moral of your colleagues or employees.

Go-karting, just like Paintballing, does wonders for adrenaline, and is sure to make for an unforgettable experience with your team - or friends, if you will. But Go-karts are a relatively more mainstream activity here in Nigeria than Paintball is.

Where to go Go-Karting

The go-to place for Go-Karting in Lagos is undoubtedly the GET arena at the Oniru Estate, Off Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, where there is an amazing facility dedicated to the sport. It is run Ms. by Kaka Doyle.

Aside from being one of the fun things you can do in Lagos, go-karting will serve as a way for your team to blow of steam and bond outside the confines of work.

Like all team events, proper planning is key. If you're the team lead saddled with the responsibility of organizing a go-kart outing, you'll need to the following to ensure things run smoothly:

1. Contact the GET arena staff. This will help you find out relevant information regarding scheduling time, cost implications, etc.

2. Get the team to contribute towards it. Chances are it will not be a company expense. You should already know the cost implications from calling the guys at the arena, while factoring in other things like refreshments and transportation.

3. Book a hotel ahead if you're outside Lagos. This is important as it will save you any unnecessary hassle associated with accommodating the team when you all show up on the scheduled date. Get on a hotel booking site and have them book a hotel in Oniru Estate for you and the team so you'll be close to the venue.

4. Arrange for transportation. Unless everyone is driving to the place, which is not exactly necessary, you will need to arrange for transportation for everyone. Either hire a ride for the day or have everyone share rides to the place with some team members who will volunteer to drive.
